The address is 1 Patriot Place, and most people outside Foxborough think of it only on game days. The October 2026 calendar for the shopping and dining district around Gillette Stadium tells another story. It lists a free Oktoberfest, a free harvest day with cranberry bog walks led by Ocean Spray experts, a dog costume parade and live music most weekends.
Over the past ten months, the changes at Patriot Place have pointed one way. Nearly every new tenant and event added in 2026 works on a regular weekday or weekend. A theater replaced a theater. A taproom became a beer hall that throws its own festival. An office suite and an indoor playground are on the way. Taken together, they make the complex more useful for locals than it was a year ago.
The movie theater changed hands
The biggest change happened at 24 Patriot Place. Showcase Cinema de Lux closed there on January 10, 2026. Showcase said it and the landlord had mutually agreed to end the lease "due to a business decision." Boston.com reported the replacement in December 2025, describing a flagship theater coming to the same spot.
Phoenix Theatres Patriot Place opened to the public on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. That left Foxborough without a movie screen for close to six months. Phoenix advertises these features:
- Heated reclining seats
- Dolby Atmos sound
- Premium large-format screens
- No pre-show commercials
- Family-friendly ticket pricing
Two items on that list are aimed at local families: the family pricing and the lack of commercials. A theater counting on stadium crowds would have little reason to compete on matinee prices. These are the features that matter for a Tuesday night or a rainy Sunday afternoon.
The taproom became a host
Down the row at 250 Patriot Place, the Wormtown Brewery taproom became Mass Appeal Draught House & Grille. The May 28, 2026 announcement aimed for an early-June launch, and the restaurant's site now says it is open. The menu features New England dishes with a playful twist, and the taps rotate Massachusetts craft beers, including Jack's Abby, Wormtown, Night Shift and Masshole.
The menu matters less than what came next. Within four months of opening, Mass Appeal is presenting the Patriot Place Oktoberfest Celebration on Saturday, October 10, from noon to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with live music, traditional German activities and games, and family activities. A taproom serves the people who walk in. A restaurant that hosts the district's fall festival is trying to become a regular stop.
Smaller moves in the same direction
Several spring changes got less attention, but they fit the same pattern.
Rev'd Foxboro moved from the North Marketplace to the South Marketplace and opened its expanded studio at 388 Patriot Place on April 6, 2026. A business that expands into a bigger space at the same complex expects its customers to keep coming back.
The Comedy Scene became Laugh Patriot Place at 23 Patriot Place. The first shows under the new name ran March 20 and 21. The club kept its location and changed its name.
Regus was announced in February for 26 Patriot Place, with a planned March 2026 opening. Its tenant listing now describes workspace services with 24/7 access. We couldn't confirm the actual opening day, so call ahead before you plan a workday there. A coworking office is open on Monday mornings when the stadium lots are empty, which gives people one more reason to be at Patriot Place on weekdays.
Angel's Café at 267 Patriot Place was already open by mid-January, according to the Patriot Ledger.

The bog on October 24
The Fall Harvest Celebration is the oldest event on the list and the most local. Ocean Spray is bringing it back for a 16th year on Saturday, October 24. It is free and open to the public, and it's timed for fall foliage. The main activity is at the Nature Trail & Cranberry Bog behind Bass Pro Shops in the South Marketplace. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ocean Spray experts lead family-friendly walks along the bog and answer harvest questions, and DJ Vlad of D77 Productions plays music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Patriot Place says it will add more activities as the date gets closer.
The same Saturday also has Lexi James & Wildheart on the Dean College Stage from 1 to 4 p.m. and the first day of ELEVENO's Cobweb Classic at 340 Patriot Place. You could walk the bog in the morning, catch music after lunch and watch some pickleball before heading home, all without leaving the complex.
A first for dog owners
The Pawtriots Howl-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest on Friday, October 30, is new this year. It's the first one, set for 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dean College Stage. First-year events show what a venue is trying out, and this one is aimed at local pet owners on a late-afternoon weekday.
What's still coming, and what isn't dated yet
Two upcoming tenants carry the trend into the winter.
- J7 Adventureland at 205 Patriot Place. Patriot Place's July listing says it is coming "this winter," and J7's own site gives a projected opening of late 2026. The plans call for an indoor playground with slides, ball cannons, obstacles, a ball pit, arcade games, party rooms and a menu of nutritious snacks. No exact opening date has been announced. Once it opens, families will have an indoor option for cold-weather afternoons, a hard need to fill in New England.
- 1776 Financial. Patriot Place announced on September 23, 2026 that the firm will open nearly 10,000 square feet of offices, expected in winter 2027. Together with Regus, that means more people working at the complex every weekday.
The holiday season is still unconfirmed. Patriot Place's Holiday Giving Tree lighting page still shows the 2025 event, and the Winter Skate page still shows hours for the 2025–2026 season. We haven't found 2026 dates for the tree lighting, the skating rink or a holiday market. Both events have run at Patriot Place before. Check the Patriot Place events calendar, newsletter or Advantage App in November for this year's dates.
Why the October list matters in Foxborough
Look at the 2026 additions as a group. A cinema now competes on family pricing. A beer hall hosts the fall festival. A studio grew into a larger space. A coworking office and a financial firm's new offices bring weekday traffic, and a children's play space is set to open this winter. The October calendar, with stage music, a free cranberry harvest day and a dog parade, fits the same pattern. Gillette Stadium still anchors the address, and the Patriots Cheerleaders calendar launch on October 9 shows the stadium hosting events too. Most of what changed in 2026, though, is meant for an ordinary Saturday in town.
For a Foxborough household, that means a short drive now covers more of a weekend than it did last fall, whether there's a home game or not. If your plans this month include the bog walk on the 24th, a movie at Phoenix or a beer at Mass Appeal, the dates above are the ones posted as of October 1.
